The Great EYFS Beach Party!

June 10, 2015

Early Years held a Beach Party! There was sea (in the paddling pool), there was sand (in the sand pit), there was sun (mostly) and there was a lot of fun! Children splashed, squirted, played and splashed some more before all enjoying an ice-cream. They’ll remember this day when they’re old and grey.

Y1 Super Hero T-Shirts	June 10, 2015
Y1 designed Super T-shirts in which they could be heroes. Having also designed their superheroes, they then had to test their super poses. Super powers don’t work without AWESOME POSES. IMG_0255 IMG_0256 IMG_0257

Y6 made lungs and blood!	May 20, 2015
Year 6 made a model of the lungs and it showed clearly how the diaphragm controls how much breath we take in. We also made blood with Cheerios for red blood cells, marshmallows for white blood cells and water for the plasma. To help our blood clot, we used oats for platelets…we had a great afternoon. Clip and Climb – Y6 SATs treat	May 20, 2015

Y2’s Computer Castles	May 13, 2015
Year 2 have been learning about Towers, Tunnels and Turrets: all about castles. Some children tried creating their own castles using a Painting program in the Computer Room. A force is a push or a pull. Y2 went out and about the school to find which forces they needed to use for what purpose.
