R1J made Pinwheels

September 18, 2015
We read "Titch" by Pat Hutchins.  Titch has a pinwheel, so we made some too.  The cutting wasn't too bad but the folding was quite tricky.  You had to hold it down with one finger and fold with the other hand.

September 18, 2015
It was Family Snack Morning.  So that meant baking - mixing - measuring - stirring - weighing - but no licking the spoon!

September 16, 2015
It was a hot sunny day.  There was cold milk.  Mrs Clarke took everyone outside for the story.  Smiles all round!

Science Week: Y2 Cookery

July 2, 2015
It's Science Week!  But what's the point in science if it doesn't involve food?  Each class made something different, and Y2 made Salad.  It wasn't as easy as opening a bag of Baby Mixed Leaves from the chilled compartment in the shop...

Year 2 visit North Gare.

July 2, 2015
It wasn't just a jolly to the beach.  Look at all the learning.  Limpet shells, science walks, making rubbings, spotting living things and investigating sand dunes. (There was still time for a sandcastle or two at the end)

Read with me

June 19, 2015
The staff and ambassadors would like to say a BIG thank you for supporting your child/ren during the 'Read with Me' afternoon.  The afternoon was very positive and parents enjoyed the time supporting their children's reading. Parents also found the guided reading sessions valuable and it gave them a clearer understanding of how these lessons are run in school. Following some feedback from you, in future we will offer a longer session, to give you the opportunity to spend time in different classes, where families have more than one child in school.
