Year 6 Court of Law

Year 6 read the poem “The Highwayman” by Alfred Noyes.  We changed it so that the Highwayman had to stand trial in a Court of Law.  Each child had a role such as judge, witness, juror etc.  We did this to learn about the rule of law and British legal system and then wrote a judge’s summary based on the evidence.

Reception visit Egypt

Around the World Day at Viewley Hill! Reception visited Egypt. They boarded the flight with their passports, painted the Eye of Horus, practised walking like an Egyptian... and it just wouldn't be the same without making someone into a mummy![envira-gallery id="3942"]
