Food bank update

November 25, 2016
There was a fantastic donation of food at Harvest Festival.  The children were pleased to hand several boxes to Middlesbrough Food Bank. It was lovely to receive a certificate back from Middlesbrough Food Bank to say thank you!

Year Four get the armour on!

November 23, 2016
Year Four's theme was "I am warrior".  As part of their Engage, Sir Richard came again to Viewley Hill Academy.  He explained what the armour was for and how it was made.  Year four found out about how to put it on – and how long it takes! After it was all off again, we tried some of it on.  It was very heavy and not very comfortable.  We thought that School Uniform was probably a better option for everyday wear.

Children in Need

November 18, 2016
The day came to wear spots.  We got Pudsey-ed up and talked about why we all looked quite the way we did! Children and families responded well to Children in Need day both in the participation and in the generous donations.  There was an especially good showing of lots of home-made outfits this year. We were all seeing spots!

The Gentle Way

November 17, 2016
We learnt Judo, the "Gentle Way"!  We learnt holds and moves, we tried them out on each other and everyone was wiser - and gentler - for their learning.
