Viewley Hill Academy is a Single Academy Trust (SAT). There are two layers of governance for the trust: Members and Trustees. Trustees are also known as Governors and this group are responsibile for the oversight of the day to day running of the school. For any enquiries relating to Governance, please contact the school office and ask to be put in touch with Pastor Ken Stone, the Chair of Governors. The Governing Body
The Governing Body for Viewley Hill Academy is a very hard working and committed group of people who give their time voluntarily to oversee the management of the school and to ensure that an excellent quality of education is provided for our children. Governor term of office is four years. The governors meet regularly throughout the year and are made up of a range of representatives from the local community. We are fortunate to have a very strong skill set amongst our governors including a school business manager, a retired senior school improvement adviser, a serving headteacher, a local minister and and Early Years SEND specialist. Our parent governors are key members of the governing body as their knowledge and understanding of the school community is invaluable in helping us develop and grow. The Governing Body is accountable for the academy’s performance and takes a key and active role in shaping the school’s future. All boards, no matter what type of schools or how many schools they govern, have three core functions:
